The Diocese of New Westminster is strongly committed to environmental stewardship, including a policy on reimbursing staff who cycle on diocesan business
Our Public Commitments:
- We commit to establishing an environmental unit within the diocesan structure.
- We commit to providing staff time to assist the environmental unit in coordinating a network of parish environmental stewards.
- We commit to supporting the environmental unit through diocesan resources (newspaper, web site, meeting space, workshops, etc...).
- We commit to undertaking 'greening' operations related to governance, building and yard maintenance, transportation, and ministry and education for all diocesan facilities.
