Sallie McFague's first lecture dealt with a new understanding of stewardship in a distressed world. I like her quote, "the earth is a home not a hotel." The health of the world is a spiritual issue and we are "called to care" as an act of love. "Simple living" is a radical stance in a consumer culture

Having an on-line discussion forum for people interested in Christianity and Climate change is an awesome idea -- I look forward to this developing into a really good community.

But, I hope I can develop a more interesting moniker than "steward" -- I think there may be several "stewards" posting in the near future.
